Amanda Zilla is an assistant lecturer at in Department of Literary, Cultural and Communication Studies, in the Faculty of Humanities and Education and holds multiple roles at the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Centre (AIIC), at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.

​At the AIIC, she is the Principal Investigator of their dream LAB cluster focused on the integration of artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies into the arts, culture and education industries. She is also the Chair of the international working group, Her Space in AI, and the AIIC's Communication, Branding and Engagement Strategist. 

Her research interests include transmedial storytelling, narratology across media, storytelling in/through emerging media, applications of AI and VR into arts, culture and education praxes, VR and AI ethics and applications of AI and VR for social justice and inclusion.
